I have many fond memories of my childhood family camping trips. My father took us all over northern Minnesota, Lake Superior, Wisconsin, and Michigan. When my wife and I started having children our kids were camping by the time they each reached 1-year-old. We always had to make room for extra diapers and multiple changes of clothing. Our 2 boys thought that the inside of our tent was one of those inflatable jumping houses that they played in at birthday parties. (more…)

We can make a list a mile long for camping activities.  My friends and family have been avid campers for the past 30 years.  We want to share with you some of the best activities that you can do while enjoying the Great Outdoors.  The type of camping activities sometimes will depend on what type of camping you will do.  However, we will list some universal activities that can be enjoyed by all.

Hiking and Wildlife

A good hike can be enjoyed by all ages and types of people.  There is something that is very calming and peaceful about hiking in nature.  It is a great way to burn energy and if you know a little about wildlife and nature you can make it into an educational event also.  If you do not know much about wildlife and nature you can probably find a cheap book at a local store to learn and teach a little on your hike.
