Escaping Arizona Heat

When summer heat sets in, many people respond by taking to the hills to cool off. Arizona is particularly prone to this type of behavior. Like migrating birds, Arizonans flood the highways on Friday afternoons in summer, streaming north to Flagstaff, Payson, Prescott and other high-altitude retreats. The cool pines of the high country lie only a few hours from the sweltering heat of Phoenix. Farther south in Tucson, seven-thousand foot tall mountains sit just outside the low, desert city. Escaping the heat is a matter of driving up the mountain, which only takes about half an hour. (more…)

Considering the cost of RV living depends on a lot of variables and the capacity and ability of the RVer if they are able to support and maintain the RV way of life and lifestyle. There are certain variables and factors which have to be considered for proper planning and budget to be able to maintain and support their RV lifestyle, such as:

  1. Fuel expense ( for mileage and generator use)
  2. Food expense (for stock)
  3. Camping fees (daily, weekly and monthly rates)
  4. Electricity and water (daily, weekly and monthly rates)
  5. Entertainment (movies, restaurants, etc.)
  6. Other fixed expenses (insurance for medical and RV)
  7. Miscellaneous expense

What To Check Before Buying VW Camper Vans For Sale

Anyone interested in buying a used camper, usually ends up at some point taking a look at the vintage VW camper vans for sale known as Bay campers, which were made between 1968 and 1979.

Unfortunately, this van is known to be quite prone to rusting through in various spots. If buying one, you should pay special attention to this and look the van over very carefully before buying it.

First off, check the front scuttle panels. They tend to trap water on the inside of the panels, thus they also tend to rust from the inside. They are located at the bottom corner under the front windscreen.
